Petit Goave Community Medical Clinic

From 2016 to 2019, DHRC annually organized pop-up mobile medical clinics in Petit Goâve, Haiti. These clinics provided care to over 1,500 men, women, children, and infants in numerous locations during week-long medical missions. Through this initiative, it became evident that a permanent medical clinic was critically needed.

Land in Petit Goâve was purchased in 2019 through a donation from the Dufort family. Ground-breaking started in 2020, with funds raised by individual donors. The photos below show the construction efforts.

The clinic’s construction was paused several times while more money could be raised. In August 2023, DHRC hosted its first fundraising gala at Port and Starboard in Waterford, CT. Over 100 people were in attendance and approximately $5,500 was raised for the clinic.

As of January 2025, solar panels, furniture, and medical equipment, such as X-ray machines, are still needed to complete the physical clinic. More than $20,000 is needed just for the completion phase.

Once completed, ongoing funds will be needed for the continuous operation of the clinic: medical staff wages, medical supplies, oxygen, electricity, water, etc. All contributions, no matter how large or small, are appreciated. If you are willing to contribute, kindly visit the donation page.
